Born around 1840 and died in Silver Spring, Maryland at nearly 100 or so. She'd seen it all and motivated many. She worked for the wealthy ladies of Chicago as a seamstress, but her heart went to the shivering poor, jobless and hungry. Her customers did not seem to notice, so Mother Jones decided to take action and voice her opinion on workers rights, unfair strikes and fair labor laws for children.
